Maharashtra Inter Caste Marriage Benefits Incentive: The couples who are living in the Maharashtra state and had just got married under the inter-caste marriage rules and regulations are able to get the financial assistance benefits. The Maharashtra state government announced to provide the Rs. 50000 (fifty thousand rupees) to those couples who just had got married with the rules and regulations of intercaste marriage. The amount has provided to the citizens for the encouragement of inter-caste marriage.
The government of Maharashtra decided to remove discrimination from society and trying to provide equal rights by giving economic assistance for the encouragement of these couples. In the starting this amount was Rs. 15000 (fifteen thousand rupees) which now been increased by the state government. According to the officials, this amount will be given in two parts in which the first part will be given to applicants for Rs. 20000 (twenty thousand rupees) and it will be provided through the cheque payment which the candidates will have to deposit on their bank account and after that, they can withdrawal as cash for their personal uses. In the second part, the government had decided to give Rs. 25000 (twenty-five thousand rupees) which will work as the investment for the inter-caste married couples. This amount will be deposited in the Indira Vikas Patra as the postal saving scheme. Now, this is the total of Rs. 45000 (forty-five thousand rupees) rest of Rs. 5000 (five thousand rupees) will be given to the couples for their personal uses such as for the household items and other marriage-related expenses. This financial assistance is applicable only for the Maharashtra state. Each state has its own scheme to provide the benefits of inter-caste marriage. Under the scheme, half of the amount will be given to the central government which means Rs. 25000 (twenty-five thousand rupees) will be paid through the center.
Required Documents List to Get the Incentive for Inter Caste Marriage in Maharashtra
The couples who got married under the inter-caste marriage section and want to get the incentive scheme and financial assistance regarding it will need to collect some documents before visiting in concerned department office to submit their application/request form. See the below-given list of required documents that you will need to attach with the application form.
Ø First the applicants need the date of birth proof on which both (husband/wife) can use their school-leaving education certificate, birth certificate, or any other document which has the date mentioned for the birth.
Ø Both of the applicants will have to attach their caste certificate photocopy which must have been taken through the Municipal Corporation, MRO, or any authorized concerned department of Maharashtra state.
Ø Candidates also will need to attach their annual income certificate which must have been taken through the concerned authorized department or through the MRO office.
Ø Both of the candidates (couple/husband/wife) will need to attach the copy of the marriage certificate which must be taken through the concerned department or by the gazetted officer of the central government/state government of Maharashtra.
Ø Applicants also required their passport size photos which they have to affix with the application form and also will have to attach the marriage time photo.
Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Intercaste Marriage Benefits

ð First and important thing that both of applicant should be living in Maharashtra and have the citizenship of India
ð The husband/wife must be having the scheduled caste (sc) / scheduled tribe (st) certificate from the authorized department.
ð Both (husband and wife) must be having their permanent address/residence in the Maharashtra state to get the scheme benefits
ð The inter case marriage incentive scheme by the Maharashtra government is only given to the couples of first marriage only and it will be provided only one time.
ð In case the husband comes under the general category and the wife comes under the sc / st category then the amount will be transferred by the govt in the joint bank account.

[*] Fill the name of applicant in capital letter
[*] Write the father’s name and fill date of birth
[*] Write the complete address and caste status
[*] Fill the sub caste in the next section of form
[*] Write the name of spouse in capital letter
[*] Fill the father’s name of spouse with date of birth
[*] Fill the complete address and caste with sub caste
[*] Give information of marriage with date of registration number

=@= After that visit to the nearest project officer – cum district welfare officer or applicants are also able to visit in their nearest district welfare department office at the district level. After that, you will have to meet with the authorized person and have to submit the application form.
=@= You will have to attach the photo copy of marriage certificate with the application form which must have taken from the marriage registrar office. You also have to attach the copy of caste certificate photo copy. Candidates also have to submit the non-scheduled caste / non-scheduled tribe certificate for husband or wife and have to attach this with the application form.
The applicant also needs the self-declaration affidavit and have to visit in the PO cum DWO / DWO district level and have to submit the application. The authorized person will send your original copy of the application to the Backward Classes Welfare Directorate commissioner with complete documents and the PO cum DWO / DWO will keep one copy of your all documents in the office. After the complete process, the officer will notify you and will let you know the further process to collect the incentive for inter caste marriage in Maharashtra state.
